FAQs

  • What is SaunaGus? (aufguss)

Aufguss (a German word for “infusion) is a wellness ritual performed in the sauna, usually by an “Aufgussmeister” or “Sauna Master.”

The ritual involves pouring water mixed with essential oils onto the hot stones of the Finnish sauna stove, after which the Aufgussmeister directs the hot, scented steam towards the bathers using rhythmical movements of a towel, accompanied by music.

  • Refunds and re-bookings

I bought a ticket but can no longer attend. What to do?

What a shame we won’t be seeing you in the heat today then. We do not offer refunds or re-bookings - as stated in all event descriptions, our webpage and when you purshase the ticket.

You are always more than welcome to resell your ticket to another sauna lover. You are free to post on the official event on Facebook to see if someone else is interested in your ticket.

As something new, you can now cancel your ticket IF you do so min. 15 days before the event you have a ticket for - only valid for our ESSENTIALS and PROFESSIONAL weekly events. Then your ticket will be returned to your user profile so you can use it another day within 3 months for another date of the same event type. If you cancel within 14 day of the event, your ticket will be lost.

We hope to see you another time in the heat!

  • Is my ticket valid for another day?

Tickets are purchased for a specific day and entrance. Tickets are only valid for the date and time selected and are not valid for another day.

  • How to see what tickets do I have?

You can always log on to your user profile on our calendar and see what events ou have tickets for and if you have any “class passes” (that is tickets you paid for but haven’t used yet). This way you can track your user history and easily find your tickets.

  • What is your refund policy?

Tickets are generally non-refundable. Ticket terms and conditions are agreed to before purchase.

  • Can I cool down between sessions?

Yes. We have a private raft you can dip in the ocean from. You must stay within 1 metre of the raft and not go further out than the raft. Do take care when walking down the stairs. Just Sauna cannot be held responsible for any injuries in relation to bathing and sauna use.

  • How long time does a sauna session lasts?

When you buy a ticket for our weekly ESSENTIALS sessions, they normally last 1 hour in total. incl. 3 SaunaGus sessions. For our PROFESSIONAL events, the event lasts 1,5 hours with 4 sessions.

1 session lasts approx. 10-12 minutes inside the sauna

  • Where can I change my clothes?

We have an indoor changing wagon for your clothes to remain dry while relaxing in the sauna.

There is storage for your stuff as well.

Storage is at your own risk. Just to note that we have not experienced any theft in the 2 years we have existed.

  • Do I have to wear swimwear?

Clothing is optional unless else is stated.

The space is non-sexual which is to say no touch and no comments or other people’s bodies. Body is just body.

You decide the amount of clothing you want to wear inside the sauna. The only thing required is a big towel to protect the sauna wood from the acid in your sweat. You can rent one on site.

  • What to bring?

It is required to bring a big towel to cover all of your skin and sit on inside the sauna to protect the sauna wood (not to cover up). We recommend bringing 2 towels; one for inside the sauna and 1 for drying afterwards. You can rent big towels on site as well.

Is can be nice to have a metal water bottle (or just buy a Just Sauna bottle), slippers, a bath robe, an extra towel for after sauna, a sauna hat (you can also buy one on site) and warm clothing for after sauna.

  • Do you have a restroom?

We have a mobile toilet on site.

Please do not place paper inside the toilet; rather use the bin instead.

Please do not use the nature but do use the restroom.

  • Where can I park my car or bicycle?

Please park all cars and bicycles out on Sejlklubvej and enter via Sejlklubvej where there is a small path. We want to keep all traffic and vehicles - including bicycles - out of the lovely nature area where we are located.

  • Do you have a Lost and Found box?

Should you have enjoyed yourself to the extent where your sauna brains forget things, don’t worry - it happens all the time.

We have Lost and Found section in a white box in front of the changing room (unlocked and open 24/7) where you can see for yourself if what you lost has found its way to the lost and found box.

We keep things for 5 days before they are disposed or recycled.

  • Who is doing the sauna session?

We post on our instagram profile (just_sauna) and on our facebook page on a weekly basis who is doing the coming sauna sessions, so stay tuned!
